This Is My Mommy

Another contest submission for the Breaking Dawn contest over at the Divine TheTwilightSagaGroup!

Renesmee showing Bella to Edward, based on another deviation I have seen before and will post a link to when I can find it again. I think I know where to find it, but knowing my luck, it's just a really awesome guess.

My real enjoyment of Renesmee as a character started when she was thought to be a he, (Bella's little Edward Jacob, as she thought), and was known simply as "Bella's Nudger." (I plan to draw more on that cute little concept later.)

But when Edward first heard her thoughts and said, "It.... he or she... LOVES you," was when I truly came to love the kid. What's more natural than the first human being you fall in love with to be your own mother, the woman who gave you life? I know my first love was Sondra, my beautiful mother, and as soon as he started to talk to me, James, my rock out loud father. These two were love BEFORE first sight to me, before I could see them I KNEW them, probably more intimately than anyone could ever guess, because my soul was made up of fragments welded together of theirs.

So The Nudger continues to show her affections for her mother as she shows her to her father, almost as if she thought Edward had never seen Bella before and she was showing him something and someone new and completely wonderful. Maybe in some ways she was; she was showing Bella to Edward in perhaps a way he'd never seen her, as the sacred love a child has for its mother. This is Edward seeing Bella for the first time as mother, as the sacred being he helped make her. More importantly than making her a vampire, he made her a mother.

Edward, Bella and Nessie Cullen (or Renesmee, whatever you prefer) belong to Stephenie Meyer and borrowed with my utmost gratitude and love with no infringements nor disrespect intended.
