Pope Thoughts: Stuff, Things, Star Wars, Etc.

Wow, things have been...  really not good lately.  They're getting better, albeit kinda slowly, but better is better is better and I won't whine about that.  (Who am I kidding?  I absolutely will!)

But let's talk about the weather first.  WTF?  I have my windows open at 6PM in the evening IN FEBRUARY.  Y'know, okay, I get the whole global warming thing, but if this is GW, bring it, bitches.  Lovin' this.  (In a backhanded manner, of course.  I know what's happening isn't indicative that Mother Earth is very happy, and no, I don't think GW is a joke, even if I just made it one to amuse myself after an onslaught week of bad news and migraines.)

And happy early birthday to my bitch, Jericca/Crowmamma, who gets old tomorrow.  (I won't say how old she is gonna be, 'cause ladies never reveal...  but I ain't a lady, Bitch gonna be twenty-eight!  You're catching up to me, Jericca.  I'm gonna be twenty-nine on April 7th...  for the fifth time, but Hell, whose counting?)

And I don't know if I said it, (I probably did), I've finally seen ALL of the Star Wars films...  was thinking about those earlier today in a haze of nonsense.  John/Puppetcancer had remarked on my psychoanalysis of Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker before I'd even seen Attack of The Clones to validate my ideas.  Said, "wow, Ani has some loss issues over having to leave his mother.  No wonder the thought of losing his wife (Padme Amidala) AND his child(ren, as he didn't know there were two), made him so bonkers that anything that oozed out of Palpatine's mouth sounded like a good idea."  Palp is the Master and the Commander of bad ideas...  and I also told John, as I listened to The Emperor regale the story of the student who killed his teacher, knowing how to manipulate life...  the story didn't leave that jerk's face before my eyes widened and I breathed, "it was you!  The student you're telling Ani about was YOU, you slimy little turd!"  Palpatine/Darth Sidious really illustrates to me how slippery the Sith are, and also the dangers of teaching ALL you know to your underling.  They're waiting for the opportunity to use it to screw you and get one rung higher up the proverbial ladder; they're looking for a fraction of an opportunity and need even less of a reason.  

For the record, my Palpatine As The Killer Student theory isn't proven in current canon that I'm yet aware of...  but I'm still a newbie in the Star Wars fandom, I will admit that, and the things I DON'T know about The Ultimate Fandom could comfortably fill a library and a half on a conservative estimate.  Whether he is or he isn't the student, I am still very unnerved with the reverence which Palpatine used when telling that story to Anakin.  It didn't sound like respectful admiration to me as much as it sounded like thinly veiled boasting.  I wonder also, if my thoughts on the matter are correct, if it wasn't just arrogance and a Look-What-I-Can-Do braggart speaking, but that also served as an equally thinly veiled warning, lest Ani get any ideas about the life/death manipulation thing and, y'know, using it against his master.  "I'll take you on and teach you, but I can fuck you up if you get lippy with me."

And when a Sith Lord says that...  or even simply implies it...  you listen up or you get fucked up.  Sometimes both, dependent on said Sith's whim.

They're some moody little buggers, too, and you're already treading on very thin ice with very hot skates when you goof around with the likes of them.  They need half a reason to mess you up, and sometimes, they don't require any at all, in part or in whole.

Yes, I'm new at this and new to your fandom, so be gentle, LOL, and use small words that I understand.  (Try colorful hand puppets to convey your point, too, but they have to be colorful, and shiny is even more effective, or else I'll lose interest.)  I am but a simple creature, after all. 

God love ya'll like I do.  There will come more activity from me in the future-ish.  Maybe even this evening, should my inking job go as planned.  (It won't.  It won't stop me from posting, either, whether it's garbage or not.  C'mon, folks, you've seen my gallery, you know what's up.)
